The Scarecrow and the Tinman
McLeod at 8 Years (left) and Jed at 13 Years

Left-to-right: Raven, McLeod at 9 Years, Jed at 14 Years

Breed: Golden RetrieverGender: Male
Favorite Food: Flint River Ranch. Since switching to Flint River, I have noticed a wonderful improvement in the condition of both my Black Lab's and Golden Retriever's coats. They don't seem to have the allergies they used to get using the other premium food. I did have to switch them from the Fish and Potato as they were getting a little chunky on it, but the Senior Food has been wonderful and they adapted without any problems whatsoever. I LOVE the convenience of delivery.
Story: McLeod is a rescued dog. I brought him to his forever home when he was 1.5 years old; he is 9.5 years old now. I look at McLeod and wonder when he got the mask! But don't let that grey mask fool you... despite his being 9.5 yrs old he STILL acts like he is 6 months old! He has so much energy my vet said he burns it standing still... LOL... and I don't call him my GOOBER DOOBER for nothing!
Since it is October, this is their WINNING Halloween Photo. I entered this in a Pet Smart Photo Contest. They came in first place and we won a digital camera. Even if we hadn't won I am very proud of my special guys.

Breed: Labrador RetrieverGender: Male
Story: Jed, my main man, arrived when he was 7 weeks old. I have no idea where the time went. Jed left me to be with the Great Spirit on November 19, 2007 at the age of 14.5 years.

Breed: Domestic Mediumhair CatGender: Female
Special Skills or Responsibilities: Catori my love bug... who calls out to me to say hello, to announce she is coming back in the house, to find me...LOL. She just has the sweetest little meow, sometimes she sounds like a mourning dove. She is a purring machine and loves to come settle beneath my neck every night when I go to bed... it is her ritual, our special lovin' time!
Story: I adopted Raven and Catori in July after tragically losing my 21-year old Mariposa on June 11th. Catori (Ka-Tour-E, which is Hopi for Spirit) was named Posey, a nickname I called Mariposa, was the Great Spirit looking down and guiding this little girl and her sister to me or what! It is amazing how much of the darker cream has taken over her coat. When she was just a wee baby her coat was mostly the lighter color you see on her chest with just a hint of the darker color. Catori is short and squat, unlike her sister Raven who is long and lean.

Breed: Domestic Mediumhair CatGender: Female
Story: Miss Raven, my black beauty who is so full of herself... has established herself as THE ONE TO BE OBEYED among the other older and much larger cats! Not at all lovey like her sister, but when she does deign to bestow some or allows you to give here some she just melts into your arms. LOVES to be close to me all the time though. She is sleek and elegant and has this magnificent tail that she needs to grow into. I think she is stunning to look at, as far from a rag doll in looks as she can get and also in personality, but I wouldn't trade her for anything. She and her sister Catori are so attached to each other. The different colors you see on Raven are just light spots, she is completely black except for her eyes, there is not one speck of another color on my Black Beauty.
