"We’re best friends."
Hoover at 8 Years (left) and Chop at 5 Years

Breed: Yorkshire TerrierGender: Female
Favorite Activities: Their greatest activity is going for walks with me in the evening, and riding with me in the car on weekends. Oh, they also like to bark at the squirrels, raccoons, and opossums walking along the fence during the night so that they don’t invade their yard.
Story: I purchased Hoover for my mother as a gift when Hoover was just 4 months old. She stayed with Mom for a year, but every time I would come over Hoover acted like I was the only person she cared about in the whole world. Well, my mother went on vacation so I took care of Hoover during that time. Upon my mother’s return from vacation, Hoover would have nothing at all to do with my Mom. Although it broke Mom’s heart, she told me that I might as well have Hoover since I am the only person she wanted to be with. That was 7 years ago, and we remain best buddies to this day.

Hoover got her name because as a puppy her nose was to the ground all the time, just like a vacuum cleaner—thus the name Hoover.

Breed: Bichon FriséGender: Female
Story: Mom purchased this little gem 5 years ago when Chop was only 3 months old. She was the delight of my mother’s life as mom was aging and couldn’t get around very well. Chop was by her side 24 hours a day. The greatest companion anyone could have.

Mother passed away in May and before her passing I promised to make Chop part of my life. Chop is the social butterfly of the family. She doesn’t know what a stranger is and just loves everyone. She is cute as a button. She and Hoover are now inseparable.

Chop got her name just because she looked like a little lamb, so mom called her Lamb Chop, Chop for short.
