Breed: DachshundGender: Female
Favorite Food: Loves Flint River Ranch Food.
Favorite Activities: Loves people and loves to cuddle in her blankets and peeks out if the camera comes out.
Story: Rescued at four years old from a vet two hours from me. My friend worked at this vet's office and the owners of Ginger wanted to put her to sleep because in Dachshunds their backs go out easy and can become paralyzed in the back end. I said she doesn't need to die. Since I had experience with this problem with my own Dachshunds, I knew she wasn't going to be paralyzed forever given six weeks strict cage rest and plenty of manual leg exercises. I opted to take her in and, if the owners would buy her a wheelchair, that would be an added bonus for Ginger...and they did. She arrived with wheelchair and her cute little self. She is 7 years old now and is running with the pack (all 16) and doesn't have to use the wheelchair at all. She has a slight limp in the back-end but is watched carefully not to jump or get too excited and twist her back again. I even had a ramp built from my deck for all of them to use and not steps. Since then, we moved to Ohio and the house is even with the outside earth... so no steps or ramps. She runs fast and I have to get after her to slow down... she knows no better. So, she puts full trust in me.

Breed: BeagleGender: Female
Favorite Food: Loves to eat anything especially Flint River Ranch. Besides knowing that me, the mommy, makes homemade kibble for them which is gone the same day. What a joy!
Story: She came to me when she was 13 years old. I was in the barn feeding horses and felt a presence and looked around and there was this dog. I was like, "Oh my, who do you belong to?" I put her in the fenced-in yard with water and food and none came along until two days later. They took her home about 1/2 mile down the road. Well, one week went by and "ohhhhhh" there she is again. She did this probably three or four times and finally I got the story. The owners couldn't take her with them when they moved and sold the house. The new owners tore through the invisible fence to add to their property and she kept coming down to my house (she was probably getting email from my doggies to come down because their Mom loves them dearly). So the new owners gave Pepper to me and she runs with the pack. She is on medicine for her enlarged heart and fluid of the lungs but doing well and some days you would think she was a puppy.

Breed: Basenji MixGender: Male
Favorite Activities: He loves to ride in the truck on his back in the passenger side.
Story: He was rescued at 1 year old. He loves the cats and kitties and would do anything for you. He thinks he is human and loves the camera. He is being groomed to help with the horses. He tries to nip their noses at the moment, cause he is not quite sure his job yet but when I say, "Oliver, tell the baby to get in the stall." He runs over, puts his head in the stall and with a high pitched bark the baby moves back and looks at him like "what in the world...?" Very funny to watch.

Breed: Domestic Shorthair CatGender: Male
Story: I rescued him at 7 weeks. He was one of several in a litter that someone was burning in a fire. He was the only one they could rescue. I was in the vets office and they were washing him off and I, mind you, have 40 plus cats at home but something told me to take him home cause he would love it all and he does. He still had singe marks and smelled like fire for awhile but today he is a healthy boy. I named him Ohm because that means peace. Since I instruct yoga, thought it was fitting. He runs with the other 40 plus in their new cattery. He keeps asking for real tree limbs to hang in their new home so they jump up and down from them. I currently put in logs for a nice scratching posts for them all. They are safe and warm and you can see it in his eyes.

Gender: Male
Favorite Activities: Loves to sing and bow for carrots and many other treats. What a pleasure to be around.
Story: Bought him when he was 9 years old, he will be 19 years old in April. He helps me out when I need to be schooled myself for the other four in the barn.
