Ranger at 5 Years

Breed: Siberian HuskyGender: Male
Favorite Activities: Ranger absolutely loves the water. We have a boat, and we drop him off the side of our boat and we all swim to shore together. He loves to walk into the water from the beach, and to have the waves wash over him. He needs a lot of exercise; he is, after all, a working breed. We exercise him for at least one hour per day, seven days a week. When he was younger, he needed a lot more exercise to keep him satisfied.

Being a Siberian Husky, Ranger has an extremely strong prey drive, and we need to be careful to keep him away from rabbits, squirrels, cats, and even baby alligators. He has already found a baby alligator (about 9 inches long). He found it lying in some long grass right next to our sidewalk, and had his mouth on it before I even realized what was happening! Life with a Siberian Husky is never boring!
Story: I adopted Ranger in February of 2005, and he is now about five years of age. He is a rescued red and white Siberian Husky. Ranger and I are both volunteers for Siberian Husky Rescue. Our motto is, Adopt a Dog and Save a Life!

I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Siberian Husky Rescue, which means that I welcome new volunteers, maintain contact with existing volunteers, and help to answer their questions about volunteer activities.
