Rescued Third-World Street Dog Adapts to the Good Life
Calle at 3 Years

Weight: 45 poundsGender: Female
Favorite Activities: She loves to run, ride in the car, and travel on airplanes so that she can go along.
Favorite Place to Sleep: She sleeps on the bed.
Story: Calle (which means street in Spanish) is a mixed breed dog who was rescued from a village street in Guatemala at about the age of 6 weeks. She was found by a friend alone and about to be abused by some young boys who were proposing to use her as a soccer ball. She came to the US at the age of about 5 months and has adapted well to the good life. While she looks like a classic third-world street dog, she has a prettier face which might have come from a Weimaraner in the village. She just turned four, was three when the photo was taken, weighs about 45 pounds, and used to jump over my 4-foot fence until she tore her ACL and required expensive surgery.
