Cane at 10 Months

Cane as a Cute Little Pup

Breed: Gordon SetterWeight: 46 pounds
Gender: MaleBirthday: November 11, 2008
Favorite Food: He likes Pinto Canyon Chicken & Brown Rice.
Story: He was bought as a "field hunter" but we discovered he really had "show" features with little interest in birds (robins were attractive, though). I've been saddled with an unknown medical ailment for some time, leaving little stamina to train him. So, he has become a great pet and watch dog.

He has one sister still with the breeder and they get together for play time periodically. Great exercise for both. She is somewhat smaller, roughly 42 pounds, while he is on the small side, as well, at roughly 46 pounds.

He's awfully fast and runs constantly. Can't overfeed him yet - he runs it all off.

The name "Cane" came from a bamboo species used in making split-bamboo fly rods. Tonkin Cane is the product, found only in one small wild acreage in China, the only place it grows in the world. It is imported into the USA by 2 guys, one in Washington state and the other back east. Both the breeder and I make split-bamboo fly rods - mine is just a hobby. It takes about 120 hours per rod to build.
