Story: I have had several Weimaraners; Olive is actually my 6th. We had Kirin and Nikko, who had a litter of 8 puppies. My family kept 4 of them, and for a short time I had all of them in my home. My last two, Shana and Jasmine, started seeing a holistic vet in 2008 and that's where I discovered Flint River Ranch. With the help of the food, and the extraordinary treatment of Dr. Limehouse, Jasmine outlived all of the rest to 16 years despite having been diagnosed with a lung tumor nearly 5 years earlier.

I went about a year without a dog until I saw Olive on a website for a no-kill shelter. She was 5 months old and the breeder wanted to put her down because she wasn't "perfect." After living in a couple of different homes, she ended up at the shelter. Olive had a webbed paw, a dermoid (patch of skin in her eye), and was thought to have needed hip surgery because her back legs were slightly bowed.

I knew right away she was the one when I saw her picture. After going to visit the shelter and filling out an application, they asked if I'd take her that day! The shelter paid for specialists, appts and surgeries at a vet clinic they dealt with in Irvine, Ca. Turned out she ended up growing into her hips and her legs are perfectly straight. No surgery. They even fixed her webbed toe and removed the dermoid in her eye.

I'm once again truly blessed to have Olive in my life.
