All of our recipes are designed to be fed with Buddy Boost Probiotics.

You may wonder why our recipe doesn't include probiotics like many other pet foods. Our research and experience has taught us that probiotics are best kept separate from food — another reason why Pinto Canyon is unique and better! Read why it's best to have probiotics separate from food.

All of our Pinto Canyon recipes are slowly baked in our ovens at lower temperatures in small batches, just like you'd bake at home. This gentle process protects the vitamins and minerals and maintains the integrity of the ingredients while enhancing the aroma and taste. Ask your dog!

Feeding Notes
Feed less! Baked food is denser than other pet foods; you'll typically feed 25% less. If your dog has loose stool, you may be overfeeding. Please refer to the feeding guidelines, and try feeding slightly less.
The Feeding Guideline above is a starting point. Please adjust the feeding amount as necessary to maintain the optimum body weight for your dog. We recommend that you weigh your dog weekly.
New to this food? Please transition your pet. Some dogs may do better by making a gradual transition over 7 to 10 days. Start with 25% of the new food mixed with 75% of the previous diet, and gradually increase the new while decreasing the previous until the transition is complete. Sudden diet change may cause loose stool or stomach discomfort. Typically, a gradual transition is not necessary when changing to another Pinto Canyon food because all of our foods are similar in quality and the cooking process.
Clean water bowls daily. Have clean bowls of cool, fresh water available at all times.
Store your food in a cool and dry location.
Pinto Canyon Oven-Baked Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance.
